Gamma Knife radiosurgery is a sophisticated radiation therapy technique that precisely delivers a single, finely focused, high dose of radiation to well-defined, small targets in the brain.Since UCSF adopted the Gamma Knife in 1991, it has greatly improved the management of patients with tumors, epilepsy, trigeminal neuralgia, and arteriovenous malformations.

UCSF and Trinity College Dublin partnered to create the Global Brain Health Institute to train a new generation of health leaders who will be empowered to break down disciplinary boundaries and find innovative ways to intervene on behalf of vulnerable people in their communities to prevent and limit the impact of dementia globally.
