Utilizing robust clinical data from the 18-center TRACK-TBI Network, Drs. Yue, Elguindy, and Manley’s study will evaluate blood-based proteomic and RNA biomarkers secreted during and after traumatic brain injury (TBI) to identify promising candidates for near-term translation into precision-medicine, point-of-care assays for diagnosis, triage, and prognostication of TBI, leading to better patient outcomes, as well as time- and cost-savings within the paradigm of TBI emergency and acute care.
