For patients with recurrent glioblastoma, a second course of radiotherapy is safe, but it remains unclear which patients will derive a clinically meaningful benefit. Drs. Braman and Raleigh are developing a targeted gene expression biomarker to identify patients who would stand to benefit from a second course of radiotherapy for recurrent glioblastoma, enabling individualized and optimized treatment for the most common malignant brain tumor.
