Dr. Rauschecker aims to deploy an AI-powered tool into routine clinical care to improve how meningiomas, the most common primary brain tumors, are monitored over time. The UCSF-developed software automatically measures tumor volumes from MRI scans, tracking growth over time, and providing confidence estimates for each measurement, while keeping radiologists involved in the review process. The platform seeks to improve clinical decision-making by enabling more objective and reliable detection of tumor growth, streamlining workflows, and creating large-scale data resources to advance brain tumor care.
