Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), a severe type of stroke caused by bleeding in the brain, affects nearly two million people worldwide each. Developed by Dr. Savastano and Mr. Leong, the ICHx System is a minimally invasive surgical platform designed to remove blood clots from the brain faster and more safely using a small handheld device and advanced image-guided navigation that can work in standard hospital settings without specialized operating rooms. By significantly reducing treatment delays, the project aims to improve survival, reduce complications, and expand access to life-saving stroke care for patients at more hospitals.
