Patient-Friendly Wearable for Precision Bladder Health in Overactive Bladder

Dr. Subramanian, along with researchers at UCSF and UC Berkeley, are developing DetruSense, a non-invasive, wearable patch designed to monitor bladder muscle activity at home, offering a patient-friendly alternative to traditional, invasive clinic tests. In early stages of development, the project has successfully demonstrated initial proof-of-concept testing with healthy volunteers, and this award will support a next-phase pilot study in patients with multiple sclerosis, and continued development of the platform’s automated analysis algorithm.
