Searching for the Circuits Underlying Involuntary Facial Movements

Dr. Nelson hopes to uncover which brain areas produce tardive dyskinesia – a condition in which individuals develop involuntary facial movements – a vital step toward better understanding how the condition develops and identifying new therapies for prevention and treatment.
