A centerpiece of the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Neurosciences Building, the Innovation Core provides two main functions: access to state-of-the-art and high demand equipment, and creation of new tools to drive future neuroscience research. It also provides a crucial venue for educational sessions and fosters a collaborative research environment, bringing together investigators – across disciplines – at UCSF and beyond.
The Innovation Core is comprised of the following core components:
Light Microscopy Core
Formally designated a Leica Microsystems Center of Excellence, the Light Microscopy Core provides access to cutting edge light microscopy instrumentation, as well as training and education, assistance with experiment design, data acquisition, and image analysis.
